The team is headed by Dr. Nuno Micaelo which holds a PhD in Biochemistry specialized in Molecular Modeling and Molecular Simulation methodologies with several peer review publications, scientific communications and referee activity for scientific magazines.

Structure-based protein design
Alcantarabio owns a computational and molecular modelling platform that enables a fast assessment of structure and function of a large number of protein in silico mutations for protein design and engineering. Our platform is able to optimize protein therapeutics and other protein based technologies by creating or enhancing native characteristics via aminoacid mutations.
